Oregon, Washington-Day 13-Evergreen Air and Space Museum

The Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum is an aviation museum which displays military and civilian aircraft and spacecraft.  The "Spruce Goose" was moved to this museum after it left Long Beach, CA.  The museum is located in McMinnville, OR, which is in driving distance of Portland, OR. Across the street from the museum is the headquarters of Evergreen International Aviation.  Evergreen Wings & Waves Waterpark is also in the complex, which opened in 2011.  The four big slides begin inside a retired Boeing 747-100 that sits atop the roof, 62 feet above the splash landing.    An IMAX theater opened in 2007, and a second exhibit hall focuses on the Titan II ICBM and space technology opened in 2008.  Future plans for the museum include an 84 room hotel with restaurant.
